the need for vision

The world is at a crucial place. Serious people are saying that the next few years will decide the future of the earth. And yet we have a remarkable absence of vision. We really dont know what we should be aiming at. This blog is the first step in an attempt to recover some of that vision. I am going to start it but I am looking for others to join in, contribute their comments and become part of the process. The theme I am going to explore is how the ancient idea of Shalom – or the Great Peace – can enrich our understanding and give us hope.
